Unique features

  • Register first, decide the format later — open sign-ups with no format committed and pick the best fit once you see the real turnout.
  • Eleven single-day formats on the table: Round Robin (rotating or set teams), single and double elimination, Crazy 8, Ladder, Compass Draw, King & Queen, and PWF Singles.
  • A full preview before you commit — plus Shapeshifting, which lets you convert to another compatible format any time before the first match is played.

Rules

  • A Wild Card event opens for registration with no format set. Before the event starts, the organizer picks one of 11 compatible single-day formats, and PB360 builds the groups, teams, brackets and court rotations from the final registration numbers.
  • The format stays editable right up until the first match is generated. At that point the event locks and no further format changes are allowed, so the bracket everyone plays is final.

Wild Card Specifications

Wild Card flips the usual order of setting up an event. Instead of locking in a format and hoping the right players turn up, you open registration first and choose the format later — once you can see exactly how many people registered, the gender breakdown, and the average rating. It is the most flexible event type on PB360, built for organizers who would rather react to real turnout than guess in advance.

When you are ready to begin, the system shows every format that is compatible with your registration list and runs a live preview for each one: how many groups and teams it will create, whether the player count and gender mix are valid, the bracket size, and any waitlist adjustments. The moment you confirm, the conversion engine builds the teams, groups, brackets and court rotations automatically and locks the event into your chosen format.

Seeding, rounds, ranking and tiebreakers all follow the rules of whichever format you assign — Round Robin standings, elimination brackets, Ladder rankings, or King & Queen court rotations. Until the first match begins, the event can still Shapeshift into another compatible format with no loss of registrations or data. Once play starts, the structure is final and every player has a guaranteed place in the format you selected.
